"We had a studio with a kitchenette and a balcony overlooking the street and the bay. The street was busier, but the windows sealed well, so we had peace and quiet to sleep. The equipment was new, comfortable and clean. They cleaned our room every day and changed the towels. The lady at the reception and the cleaning lady were very nice, accommodating and helpful. It is a very welcoming accommodation. The location of the accommodation is ideal, not far from Dona Ana beach, where there is a very pleasant wooden path along the ocean, and not far from the city center within walking distance. We will definitely return to Marvela again."

"The room was well equipped with a nice view. There is a pretty busy street below but it didn’t bother us too much. It’s a quick walk to the old town. The beach was closed due to rock slides. Located directly on the Fisherman’s Trail."

"Perfect location. Right between the old town and the board walk. Large grocery store (Spar) nearby. Prai Dona Ana, the best beach in Lagos, less then 10 minutes walk away. Apartment clean and newly renovated. Clearly the nicest building in its area. Looks like the pictures. Equipment provided to cook basic meals. Awesome views from the balcony. Sat there everyday. It's partially on the road but you see alot of beach. Would absolutely recommend Marvela to anyone coming to Lagos."

"Only a few of small things. Nothing major but the difference between a 9 and a 10. 1) Would have been nice if they provided cooking basics like salt, pepper oil ect. Convenient not to have to buy all for a short stay. No coffee either despite having a coffee machine. 2) Bus arrived at 1pm. Tried to organise early checkin. Got told checkin only from 3. Understand that's the official time but most places would try get you in a little early. Checkout is 11 and I let them know beforehand. They did let me store luggage which was handy. 3) There is an unpleasant smell in the hallways / common areas. Might be a ventilation issue."

"The apartment building was well located, within minutes at the beaches and within 5-10 minutes in the city centre. It was extremely well insulated for both heat ans noise so it was very quiet. The staff was very nice and helpful"

"Just a minor note is that while someone came in daily to do the beds, we would have welcomed if the apartment was sweeped or vacuumed as well due to sand we brought in. Otherwise it would be nice if a broom was provided from the beginning. A further recommendation is to add a drawer or table inside for more storage and tidiness."
