"This isn’t a criticism but an observation that the bathroom is small."

"This was a lovely little bungalow and was just right for my friend and I and it was nice to have more than just a compartment in the fridge for the freezer. It was really nice having the fire, (owners had set out the logs and built the fire so just needed lighting), and heated the whole bungalow in a few hours and kept it warm until morning."

"There was a bit of back and forth for being able to have two cars on site and turned out to be fine after clearly someone else responded that wasn't the same as the first person messaging through the app. It likely won't have changed us booking there as it fit within our budget but it would have been nice to have the knowledge that it is a Christmas tree farm and so during this time the owners prefer only one car so that there is space for customers. However it all worked out in the end."

"Looking for really lovely hosts? Join Peggy and Rod at South Newlands Farm. Stayed four nights in "Our Snug" and missed nearly nothing. Even our dog was happy to strol along the huge farmland, Cosy furnished little cottage with lots of flours arround. Everything is clean and tidy. We surely will come again."

"The cottage was perfect, and has all the comforts of home from home with a lovely secluded patio area that enjoys the sunshine all day. Peggy and Rod were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect too, away from the main road but with the main bus route from Riccall about a mile up the road into York and Selby. Great location to drive to local gardens and attractions and not far from Pickering to spend a day on the NYMR! Highly recommend."

"It was dark when we arrived but luckily we were met and shown to the accommodation. It was much bigger than I had expected, with a full sized kitchen, decent lounge and good sized bedroom. Was lovely and warm too. Beds I thought were a little soft but we slept really well. Location is off main road so quite quiet but has easy access to Riccall and Selby. Overall excellent comfy value. "The only thing I think that let 'Our Snug' down was the bathroom - en-suite to bedroom - but very small with a super small sink. :("

"Lovely location, quiet and easy to get to everywhere. Beautifully kept flowers and everything we needed even when family visited. Hosts are so lovely and couldn’t have been more friendly but never intrusive. Just so relaxing restful and rejuvenating."

"Required a quiet location to relax and recuperate, whilst having access to York and Selby, for both visiting a friend and also getting about with the dog. Going into York from here with a dog is very easy , a short 15 mins or so to the bus stop, and a regular bus service. I did have a car,but great to leave and explore. After being out, 'our snug' was nice and cosy to come back to, and a roaring fire was on the go in no time. Facilities good for two people and and pet, and very quiet location. Hosts were available if needed , but to be honest, everything was there that I needed. Will be looking to stay again."
