"Peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings in a lovely Sri Lankan village .Nihal is the caretaker and cook and knows everything about the area .we met Nihals wife Shanika and children and were invited to their beautiful house for dinner (must mention Emma the dog).such a wonderful family made our stay at pjs all the better.gihan is the local tuk tuk driver and is always available to take you into hikka or on any excursions"

"I loved the pool the garden how close to nature we are and the gree nery the trees it was a very nice experience."

"My daughters are young and because we are not used to living this close to nature they were scared of the bugs which is just normal living this close to greenery so we had to shorten our stay."

"Amazing location with a canoe available at the dock - and a lagoon to explore without sighting another tourist. Incredible staff, super helpful at all times. This is our third visit to Sri Lanka, and the best place we’ve stayed in by far."

"This is a little slice of heaven in Hikkaduwa. Beautiful place overlooking a river!! Tranquility & privacy at its best. PJ's is great for family or friends (group of 4). Couldn't be happier with our stay. Nihal is extremely friendly, helpful and an amazing cook! Wish we could have stayed another night 🥹 (Do yourself a favour and book for 2 nights, one is not nearly enough to enjoy this beautiful villa) Highly Recommended!❤️"

"De half open badkamers, de fijne bedden en het zwembad"

"De ligging is wat minder. Helemaal achterin een lokale wijk. Daarentegen heeft de plek wel veel privacy. De slaapkamerdeuren goed dichthouden met i.v.m. ongedierte."

"Es gab Löcher in den Moskitonetzen und insgesamt war das Zimmer feucht. Auch wenn es eine sichere Gegend ist: nur mit Zimmertür haben wir uns nicht wohl gefühlt, eine Haustür wäre schön."

"Moc krásné a klidné místo s velkou, pečlivě udržovanou zahradou a bazénem. Velmi jsme ocenili venkovní kryté posezení, ideální na relax během dne i večer. Pokoje měly dvoje terasové dveře s krásným výhledem z postele přímo do přírody. Koupelny jsou částečně venkovní – tento styl máme moc rádi. Ze zahrady je přímý přístup na molo, kde je volně k dispozici kajak. Skvělá volba pro rodiny s dětmi, pobyt byl pro nás velmi příjemný."

"The tree house is a pleasant place to stay. The main event are the birds. Small and large, of various colors. Behind the wall lives a group of peacocks that occasionally walk under the house. They have issues with their size. They think they are the size of pigeons. The location is close to the main intersection but far enough away that you can't hear the traffic. The village has everything you need, even a bank! I recommend visiting the surrounding lakes and villages. Easy walking, peaceful and full of animals. The people are friendly. The host can arrange a safari (with a selected guide/driver!). Mine was noticeably better than the others. The host has his own tuk-tuk and can take you around, which you can combine with a transfer to the next accommodation."

"We had a precarious situation in the hotel with the now 'ex-manager' but the owner stepped in immediately and fired the guy. In total the hotel is amazing. They have amazing food and very nice rooms. If you need a thick matrass you need to book the best room tho ;) but this is just complaining on a high level. The resort is super clean, everybody is friendly and doing a great job. I really have to say the owner , Reno has the heart on the right spot and did what he could to make us feel better, after the ex manager was being the bottom of human society, he fired him and talked to the right people to find out the truth, he believed our story from the beginning and made sure the guy doesn't get a job in this area."
