"I don’t often leave reviews but this deserves one -I had a really great stay at Riverside Cabana. The room was clean and comfortable, right on the river. There were a few mosquitoes as expected by the water, but the mosquito nets and the little incense burners (coils) they provided worked well. The wildlife around the property was cool too. Early in the morning I saw a couple of crocodiles in the river, monkeys, several birds, and even a water monitor. The highlight was two toucans that sat in a tree right in front of me for ages — incredible to watch. The family who runs the place are really lovely, but the best part of my stay was the host, Dimu. He truly looked after me and went out of his way to make sure I had a good experience. He took the time to show me a few cool local spots on his scooter. Nothing was too much trouble. What a legend. Highly recommended if you want a relaxed stay close to nature."

"The location is great. Great view , very quite and really short way to the Main Street (shortcut via railway tracks). The rooms are cozy and clean. Breakfast is delicious and best black coffee of Sri Lanka. The staff is very helpful and has very good advices for activities also beside tourist tracks. Check it out"

"The owner was so helpful and organised a guide for the rainforest almost as soon as we arrived for a great price! He also drove us to the bus station while we were leaving and gave us a lift for dinner which was so lovely! The view was absolutely amazing and was a very relaxing place!"

"Incredible stay. The family that run Mansala are so welcoming and friendly and went above and beyond to provide us with a delicious dinner and breakfast. The room was so spacious, clean and comfortable. The safari Mansala organised for us was brilliant the guide was so knowledgeable, took his time and ended up staying an extra hour so we didn't miss out on all the elephants sightings."

"Every aspect of this boutique, modern eco lodge was AMAZING! We stayed for a couple of days after Christmas and loved the festive feel, fire pits, and beautiful sunrise and sunsets. The buildings blend in with the landscape and interiors are stunning - recommend staying in Chalet Neru. The food was delicious and higher end and the fruit / veg grown onsite. Our kids loved the farm tour and homemade ice cream and jams. All staff were super friendly, professional and seemed genuinely happy to work there. Kitchen was accommodating with my allergy restrictions. I’d been concerned about insects before we arrived however only spotted a couple of stick insects outdoors during our trip. Everyone in our family wished we could have stayed at the property for at least one more night."
