"The staff is exceptional. Friendly and accommodating, patient with beginner and intermediate French speakers (but happy to switch to impeccable English if needed). We were able to leave our luggage with the hotel before check-in and after check-out. Also unobtrusive. The location is perfect (a very short stroll to the Louvre, the musee d’orsay and the musee de l’Orangerie). Rooms on the small (as expected), but lovely bathroom, toiletries and balcony. Very safe. Tips for local restaurants were much appreciated."

"A large hotel on the very edge of the town, being only a few minutes walk into the market square. There was plenty of parking. The rooms were large, as was the bed, which was comfortable. There was a really good shower in the bathroom with good products, and a separate toilet. There was tea and coffee in the room, and a fridge in the cupboard. The TV was very large, and the WiFi was generally good. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and we enjoyed a Sunday lunch in the restaurant, which was excellent."

"This is indeed a chateau-mansion, 3km out of Bayeux and the approach in the evening is very pretty. Rooms are comfortable more than elegant and we didn't try the restaurant (it appears to be a bit above our budget). Much of the attraction was access to the spa/sauna/pool which sits in a separate building a short stroll from the main chateau. It was pretty good and would have been particularly fair value had we paid the basic price. However, we fell for a wording confusion which seems a bit naughty: on Booking.com there was a price for the double room, and a price of around £20 more for room with spa/pool access. I foolishly paid the higher price only to discover that spa/pool access is actually included in ALL room rates. This vague sense of being mildly scammed (even if my own fault for not writing to check) did rather undermine our experience of what would otherwise have been a very satisfactory stay."
