"What a wonderful place to stay in Lalibela. I don't think there is a better place in Lalibela. 1. Lovely host and hostess 2. Great food by the hostess. I came to Ethiopia a meat lover but the vegetarian meals cooked by the hostess got me thinking otherwise. Best food I've had in Ethiopia and possibly ever. I recommend even if you're staying elsewhere to have your dinner there, you won't regret. 3. Away from the noise and hustle and bustle yet walking distance to the churches. 4. Amazing views 5. Great location for solitude walks up the mountain for those sunset views before dinner.. 6. Great Value for money 7. Clean rooms, beautiful, authentic african feel rooms with modern shower and toilet. 8. Tours to the churches offered by the knowledgeable host 9. Eco friendly Special thank you to the hostess for amazing dinners. I will never forget you."

"The Blue Nile Guest House is located extremely close to the churches of Lalibela, and also next to a market which makes the stay very convenient. There is a restaurant serving very tasty local food, so there is no need to search for anything outside the guest house. Before arrival the owner offered to arrange transportation from the airport and we also got a guide for visiting the churches. Upon arrival we were able to see one part of the site in the afternoon on the day of arrival, and the other part next day in the morning."
