There’s a big road next to it. Although you see the mountains, you don’t feel desolate.

"Perfect location , 700m from the border , so you could walk or catch a 50 cent taxi . You could easily catch a trolley bus to centre , couldn’t get lost as the parallel road took you back to hotel . Amazing breakfast and super helpful staff ."

"The yurt was cleaner and cuter than others we did in Kyrgyzstan. The location was amazing ; right at the beginning of the trail, wonderful view and at the end of the camping (so with less traffic). Next year they will have a real toilet and even a shower."

The dinner at 800 com/person is a bit high for what you get, considering that we are not in a refuge but a place reached by transport. In the evening everybody (Ulan camp and the camp next doors) light up the stoves and the atmosphere becomes suffocating.

"I had a truly wonderful week with this host family. They were incredibly hospitable and made me feel like a long-lost family member from the very first moment. They helped me with everything I needed, and I had the best time spending my days with their daughter. Bubujan’s cooking was absolutely delicious and very local — I enjoyed every single meal. I sincerely hope I can come back and visit them again soon."
